Prior to joining Ironbark Asset Management, Rod Hine was an Analyst with Patriot Asset Management Ltd.
Rod’s primary focus at Patriot was analysing potential investee companies in the small companies space, with a key focus being the development of detailed financial models for company valuation purposes. Rod also played a key role in further developing the Patriot’s investment teams quantitative and risk analysis frameworks, and maintains the team’s stock research database.
Prior to joining Patriot, Rod worked in the chartered accounting profession. During his seven years as a chartered accountant, Rod developed significant financial reporting, tax advisory and financial analysis skills, with particular focus on corporate valuations, business sales/purchases, corporate restructuring, financial reporting and tax compliance, preparation of financing proposals and various other business advisory assignments.
Rod attained his CA qualification in 2003 and completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments in 2006.
